Introducing Bottega D’arte Viero, the new project dedicated to partner training, developed by Viero Decoratives. Training is an area where, since 2016, our brand has consistently invested energy and resources. Year after year, our offering for international partners has evolved, enriched with new nuances and enhanced potential. Our driving force has always been the belief that high-quality products need to be supported by technical skills and up-to-date application processes to unlock their full potential in wall decoration. In this regard, 2024 marks a turning point: the existing Viero Academy has expanded and evolved to become “Bottega d’Arte Viero”.
A new name that embodies a renewed vision and approach, deeply rooted in the Tuscan region (where our headquarters are located), drawing inspiration from an ancient tradition (until the 15th century, art workshops were centres for artistic training), while simultaneously looking to the future with “Made in Italy” products that emphasise innovation, user comfort, aesthetic research and sustainability.
Practice, theory, experiences. The new features of Bottega D’Arte Viero
But what exactly is Bottega d’Arte Viero? In essence, it’s the “pro” version of the old Viero Academy. A next-level, all-around experience designed for professional applicators, specialised distributors, decorators, architects, interior designers and wall creatives. It is both a physical and mental space where we offer our partners the opportunity to refine their application techniques under the guidance of highly qualified Master Artists, while at the same time inspiring their creativity by immersing them in the “Made in Italy” decorative tradition, through the beauty of Tuscany’s cities and landscapes.
Our operational base, as always, will be our Viero Decoratives headquarters in Porcari, just a few kilometres from Lucca, Florence or Pisa. Whether individually or in small groups (up to 10 people), our partners will take part in a series of practical, theoretical and experiential sessions, where they will explore application techniques for various decorative effects and experiment with the products, using a wide range of tools.
With Bottega D’Arte Viero, personalised training experiences for all levels
Additionally, compared to the past, the training courses and workshops will be even more structured and designed to cover different levels of decorative expertise.
A beginner level has been developed to masterfully apply classic finishes like the timeless Marmorino and Venetian Stucco.
The advanced course, on the other hand, is aimed at professionals looking to enhance their application skills by exploring the creative concept of mix and play, while tackling more challenging projects, including the inspirational lines of the “Made in Tuscany” collection.And here’s the big news: in addition to the practical workshops held at our headquarters, we’ve introduced the Viero Experience program, which enriches the training offer by combining decoration with the local territory, allowing our international partners to discover the wonders of an open-air laboratory workshop and museum: Tuscany. To make the experience truly special and unique, we’ve formed a network of partnerships with selected tour operators, exclusively for Bottega d’Arte Viero attendees, capable of suggesting the best ways to explore the region, its culture and the landscapes that have inspired our Made in Tuscany line, from Carrara to Bolgheri, Pisa, Florence and the Etruscan Coast…
The learning never stops, even when you get back home
And after the course? Once you return home, the training continues with a variety of tools to keep you constantly up to date. We’ve set up a remote tutoring service available in multiple languages, created extensive digital coaching materials, selected updates on the latest Viero Decoratives innovations, and provide ongoing technical support. Additionally, each participant will receive a certificate of attendance. But that’s not all: at the end of the course, every partner will also receive a complete kit of marketing tools and materials, along with decorative-effect panels created during the training.
