Marmorin Satin. The new lime-based plaster joins the product range

Date

Our range of lime finish products is expanding further. This year, we have added Marmorin Satin to our catalogue, a new lime-based plaster suitable for creating healthy and vibrant walls inspired by Italian tradition. It is ideal for historical spaces, but also elegantly adapts to more contemporary and cosmopolitan environments. Let’s dive in.

Marmorin Satin, lime-based mineral plaster

Marmorin Satin is a medium grain satin marmorino based on lime putty for marble-effect finishes. It has a smooth, matte, natural texture, ideal for ceilings and interior walls, similar to classic Venetian marmorino. It is particularly suitable for buildings in historical centres. For example, it is often used on facades characterized by ornamental elements like cornices, friezes, string courses, pilasters, etc. However, it also adapts well to various styles, adding character to spaces, and can be used outdoors too.

Main characteristics of lime-based plaster Marmorin Satin

In addition to being breathable and natural, Marmorin Satin is characterized by:

• High vapor permeability

• Matte marble look with light/dark shades

• Excellent fire resistance

• Natural look typical of old plasters based on lime putty

How do you apply Marmorin Satin?

The product is sold ready for use. All you have to do is mix it thoroughly with a mechanical mixer until the correct density is achieved.

It is applied in two coats on unpainted mineral walls or walls already painted with mineral products, or on surfaces properly prepared with a mineral primer. The tool used is a stainless-steel spatula.

Not just white. The available colours for Marmorin Satin

Marmorin Satin is available in white and can be tinted using a tintometric system. For colour selection, refer to the ‘Color Collection Marmorini’ chart. It’s important to note that the final tone of the applied product is influenced by the porosity and absorption of the support, as well as the applied thicknesses. We therefore recommend checking the colour after it completely dries on the plaster, bearing in mind that slight shades and shadows (lighter and darker) are a typical aesthetic feature of the product. Indeed, due to the natural composition of the product, the final tone will also be influenced by climatic conditions and the absorption of the plasters.
