This December, too, brings with it reflections on the year at Viero Decoratives that is coming to a close, and the one that is to come… In terms of our catalogue, a number of new products were introduced in 2024. We extended the Marmorini range with Marmorin Satin, a new lime putty-based plaster for the creation of healthy and aesthetically lively walls, inspired by the best of Italian tradition and the classic marbling effect. With a medium-grain, satin-finish, this marmorino is particularly suited to historical spaces (for instance, it can be used on façades with ornamental features such as cornices, friezes or stringcourses). It also adapts very well to more contemporary and cosmopolitan environments.
The year 2024 was also the year we launched OLTRE, a decorative system for floors and walls with no gaps or seams, which creates a harmonious aesthetic sense of continuity in the spaces where it is applied. Available in a variety of aesthetically pleasing solutions, the colour palette is designed to be in keeping with that of the Marmorini, so as to provide greater freedom to space creators in the generation of textural and chromatic combinations.
Our involvement in international trade fairs has also been further bolstered over the last few months, and the engagement of our partners has become ever stronger, not least with the official début of the concept of “Viero Atelier”, a type of guiding principle designed by the Viero Decoratives team in conjunction with art director and creative designer Domenico Raimondi to elevate the point of sale to a space where not only material but also cultural, communicative and inspirational interactions can take place.
Besides that, it is in the year 2025 that focus on our partners will find a new impetus with new communication strategies and new projects that will be set in motion to bring the large Viero Decoratives community scattered across over fifty countries around the world into a space where dialogue will be able to continue to grow. In this regard, we are especially proud of a new initiative that is to be launched in early 2025, which will put a new face on training. This will be delivered in an increasingly engaging, experiential manner, and will be rooted in Tuscany, the region where our brand is based, and which appears to anyone who comes to visit as a large open-air museum and workshop, from which creative decorators will be able to draw endless inspiration.
Among the many new features for next year will be the fourth instalment of the Made in Tuscany collection which, after much research, will be showcased with truly captivating, sophisticated decorative effects that will enrich each wall with an exciting and culturally rich narrative.
Furthermore, as early as January, we are set for another major event. From 23 to 26 January 2025, Viero Decoratives will be collectively exhibiting at ‘The Interior Design Show’ Toronto 2025, the leading trade fair in Canada for architects and interior designers, hosted by ICE(Agency for the promotion abroad and internationalisation of Italian companies) in partnership with architect Simone Micheli’s practice.
In the meantime, I would like to take this opportunity to wish all Viero Decoratives partners from around the world a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
